Our blends cover the range of our four different roast levels. Various roast levels affect the original characteristics greatly. Therefore, characteristics like acidity, flavor & body used in the single origin descriptions don’t apply in a logical way to blend descriptions.
JOE’S BLEND
A blend of Central America, South American, and East African coffees. This medium roasted coffee is our most popular blend, and our first. With more body and taste than our House blend, the taste is slightly spicy, has an excellent aroma, and a very pleasant lingering aftertaste.
HOUSE BLEND
An excellent well-balanced blend of Central and South American coffees with a smooth, clean taste, medium body, and a fine finish. A great coffee to use as an everyday or breakfast blend.
GATEWAY BLEND
A blend of both medium and full city roasted coffee. The taste is heavier than our House Blend, but less so than Full City blend. For those who want slightly more flavor than a straight medium roast, this coffee has medium acidity, medium body, and full flavor taste.
AM BLEND
A dark roasted blend of some of east Africa’s finest coffees. If you like your coffee dark and oily with a bold definitive taste, then this one’s for you.
FULL CITY BLEND
A slightly darker roast with a rich, full bodied chocolate-like taste. Very pleasing without being too dark.
NEW ORLEANS WITH CHICORY
This is a heavy, intense, full flavored blend that is certainly an early morning wake up coffee. A dark, French roasted coffee, combined with roasted and ground chicory. The taste is sharp with a long-lasting finish for those who desire a little something extra in their coffee.
VOLCAN
One our most popular blends, it’s also our darkest roast. This unique favorite is a blend of five different, very distinct coffees. The Volcan Blend is rich, but still has a smooth taste with no harsh ‘dark-roast bite’.
COLD BREW
A blend of Papua New Guinea Peaberry and a small amount of French Roast, processed specifically to create a rich, smooth cold brew. Roller-ground for more uniform particle size, which means ideal extraction, no bitterness, and fewer ‘fines’ to clog cold brew filters. Brewing instructions on bag.
CAFE BLEND
Darker roast, rich and smooth, with exceptional body. Coffees from the Americas and Indonesia regions. A very satisfying cup, with perfect balance and no bitterness.
MOKKA JAVA BLEND
Most likely, this is the original blend of coffee in the world dating back to when the Dutch East India Company first introduced coffee to Europe. This is a blend of East African coffee characterized as having an intense flavor and fruitiness and blending it with a heavy bodied earthy coffee from the island country of Java in Indonesia.
MOUNTAIN BLEND
A rich, bold coffee crafted from a perfect balance of African and Asian beans, delivering a complex yet smooth flavor. The bright, fruity notes of African coffee harmonize with the deep, earthy tones from Asia, creating a unique, full-bodied experience in every sip.
